Carnival Miracle Begins 15-Night Repositioning Voyage from San Francisco to Galveston
The Carnival Miracle has officially embarked on an exciting 15-night repositioning cruise, departing from its homeport in San Francisco on October 1st. After a fun-filled summer sailing along the West Coast, this Spirit-class vessel is heading to its new home in Galveston, Texas, where it will become Carnival Cruise Line’s fourth ship stationed in the Lone Star State.
Trans-Canal Adventure
On its journey to Galveston, the Carnival Miracle is treating guests to an epic trans-Canal cruise with stops in several exotic destinations. Travelers will experience:
• A full transit of the Panama Canal
• Port calls at Cabo San Lucas (Mexico), Puntarenas (Costa Rica), and Cartagena de Indias (Colombia)
This repositioning cruise offers a unique combination of scenic views, cultural experiences, and the engineering marvel of the Panama Canal.
Carnival Miracle’s New Galveston Sailings
Once the Carnival Miracle reaches Galveston, it will begin offering a series of exciting cruises, ranging from 4 to 12 nights. Here’s a peek at the ship’s upcoming itineraries:
• October 16, 2024: The first cruise out of Galveston is a 9-night Western Caribbean adventure, with stops in Cozumel, Belize City, Mahogany Bay (Honduras), Montego Bay (Jamaica), and George Town (Grand Cayman).
• Bahamas and Florida: The ship will also sail a 9-night itinerary to Princess Cays, Bimini, Freeport, Nassau, and Key West.
• Southern Caribbean, Central America, and Mexico: Longer itineraries include 10- and 12-night cruises that venture to destinations like Aruba, Puerto Limón (Panama), Half Moon Cay (Bahamas), and Costa Maya (Mexico).
What’s Next for the Carnival Miracle?
After completing its winter season in Galveston in late March 2025, the Carnival Miracle is set to reposition once again—this time to Europe for the 2025 summer season. As it departs for its European deployment, the Carnival Legend will take over the Miracle’s itineraries, offering cruises from Galveston during the 2025-26 winter cruise season. Starting on October 22, 2025, the Carnival Legend will offer a variety of 4- to 10-night sailings to the Western and Eastern Caribbean as well as Central America.
Whether you’re a fan of tropical getaways or looking for a one-of-a-kind trans-Canal experience, Carnival Miracle has plenty to offer as it makes its way to Texas and beyond.
