Sun Princess Crosses the Atlantic for U.S. Debut
After launching in the Mediterranean earlier this year, the Sun Princess is now crossing the Atlantic, heading for its U.S. debut. The new Princess Cruises ship embarked on a repositioning voyage from Southampton in late September and is set to arrive in Fort Lauderdale on October 9, 2024.
16-Night Trans-Atlantic Crossing
During its 16-night journey, the Sun Princess made stops in Portland, Vigo, Funchal, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Once it arrives in Port Everglades, the ship will begin its inaugural winter season in the Caribbean, offering a series of seven-night cruises.
Caribbean Adventures and Private Island Escape
These itineraries feature stops at popular destinations in both the Eastern and Western Caribbean, including:
• Grand Turk
• Puerto Plata
• St. Thomas
• San Juan
• Cozumel
• Belize City
• Roatán
Each sailing also includes a visit to Princess Cays, the cruise line’s private island in the Bahamas. Guests can combine two back-to-back voyages for an extended 14-night journey, with no repeated ports.
Future Plans: Europe and Beyond
After concluding its Caribbean season, the Sun Princess will sail back across the Atlantic in March 2025 to resume its summer schedule in Europe. It will offer itineraries from Spain, Greece, and Italy.
