Port Lincoln Welcomes Diamond Princess, Kicking Off 2024-25 Cruise Season
Port Lincoln officially launched its 2024-25 cruise season with the maiden call of the Diamond Princess on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. This marks the start of a vibrant season that will see ten cruise ships and over 30,000 passengers and crew visit the city between October and February.

Mayor Diana Mislov expressed excitement about the ship’s first visit, saying: “We are thrilled to welcome the Diamond Princess on its first visit to Port Lincoln. Our ‘Welcome Program’ ensures every visit is memorable, thanks to our dedicated volunteers and Visitor Centre team, who embody Port Lincoln’s renowned hospitality.”
Port Lincoln’s Welcome Program goes the extra mile by offering visitors a friendly reception, complete with assistance from local volunteers and Visitor Centre staff. They provide helpful information, tours, and recommendations to ensure passengers make the most of their stay.
