Perfect Day Mexico at Costa Maya Port

Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day Mexico will open in 2027 at the Costa Maya cruise port, utilizing existing infrastructure rather than building a new pier. The $600 million development in Mahahual, Quintana Roo, will feature a water park, private beach club, and dining venues. The project is expected to accommodate 21,000 cruise passengers daily and create over 2,000 jobs.

The existing infrastructure of the Costa Maya cruise port will be utilized for Royal Caribbean’s upcoming Perfect Day Mexico destination, set to open in September 2027 in Mahahual, Quintana Roo. While initially considering building a new pier, the company decided to leverage the facilities already in place at the Costa Maya port, which has been operated by a consortium of cruise lines since 2021. The port’s operators hold a government concession to manage the site until 2059.

The $600 million Perfect Day Mexico project will feature a water park, a private beach club, an infinity pool, and various dining and shopping venues. It is expected to accommodate up to 21,000 cruise passengers daily and will be directly connected to the Tren Maya railway, offering access to other regional destinations.

Revealed at an event in Chetumal, the project is anticipated to create over 2,000 jobs and is part of Royal Caribbean’s ongoing commitment to sustainable development in the area, as emphasized by Quintana Roo’s Governor Mara Lezama during the announcement.
