Royal Beach Club Paradise Island Commitment to Environmental Sustainability

Bahamian-Owned SEV Consulting Group to Lead Environmental Efforts for Royal Beach Club Paradise Island

Royal Caribbean International has partnered with SEV Consulting Group. SEV Consulting Group is a leading Bahamian-owned environmental consulting firm. The aim is to ensure environmental compliance during the construction of the new Royal Beach Club Paradise Island. They also aim to ensure this during the operation of the club in Nassau, The Bahamas. The 17-acre beachfront development, set to open in late 2025, aims to uphold both Bahamian and international environmental standards.

SEV Consulting Group oversees the removal of over 1,600 non-native plants and trees. This is to restore the island’s natural habitat. It also follows the Environmental Management Plan (EMP), as mandated by Bahamian law.

Stacey Moultrie is the Vice President of Environmental Policy and Planning at SEV. She emphasized the firm’s role in protecting Paradise Island’s natural beauty. She highlighted the importance of ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. These aim to implement sustainable practices such as zero waste-to-landfill and renewable energy use. Additionally, they will protect marine turtle nesting sites and local habitats.

The Royal Beach Club aims to be a top destination. It will feature Bahamian culture, cuisine, and local employment opportunities. Up to 49% of the equity will be available to Bahamian investors. This project reflects a broader effort to combine luxury tourism with environmental stewardship and community partnership. It reinforces Royal Caribbean’s dedication to sustainable development in The Bahamas.
