]]>The post Carnival Cruise Line Changes Late-Night Pizza Options appeared first on T C Cruisingtime.
]]>Carnival Cruise Line has stirred up conversation with a recent change to its late-night dining lineup—specifically, how it serves pizza after midnight. Known for its nearly round-the-clock pizza availability, Carnival has now shifted its late-night pizza service to the buffet starting at midnight.
What’s Changing?
Essentially, the pizza counter will now close at midnight, but that doesn’t mean pizza disappears. Carnival’s Brand Ambassador, John Heald, shared the update, explaining:
“Over the years, many of you have written and spoken to me about food options and the wait time for pizza when you’re looking for a late-night snack. Now around midnight, our fabulous team on Lido will take over from our wonderful pizza chefs as our service moves from the counter to the buffet line. You can find delicious pizza still, but also other options like chicken tenders, hot dogs, sandwiches, cookies, and other desserts.”
This shift is designed to streamline operations and better utilize staff during quieter hours. On Carnival’s Excel-class ships (Mardi Gras, Celebration, and Jubilee), the late-night buffet—including pizza—will be served in Guy’s Pig & Anchor on Deck 8.
To sweeten the deal, Carnival has also announced that its pizza stations will open an hour earlier, running from 9:00 a.m. to midnight instead of the previous 10:00 a.m. start time.
Mixed Reactions From Guests
Not all passengers are thrilled with the change. One recent guest on Carnival Panorama described the late-night buffet offerings as “lackluster,” adding that while pizza was available, it wasn’t the “good kind” typically found at the pizza counter. Another traveler noted that pizza has always been part of the buffet’s offerings but found the menu underwhelming.
On the flip side, many guests appreciate the convenience of having pizza alongside other late-night favorites like chicken tenders and desserts. Carnival’s move aims to reduce wait times and simplify late-night dining.
Can’t Do Without Pizza?
For guests who still crave the pizza counter experience after hours, Carnival has you covered—24/7 pizza is available via room service.
This change might not please everyone, but it’s clear that Carnival is experimenting with ways to make late-night dining faster and more accessible. What do you think? Will this new system improve the midnight munchies experience or leave you longing for the classic pizza counter?

]]>The post Carnival Cruise Line Bans Bluetooth Speakers: What Travelers Need to Know appeared first on T C Cruisingtime.
]]>Carnival Cruise Line has officially added Bluetooth speakers to its list of banned items, putting an end to a long-standing debate about their place onboard. According to the updated policy on Carnival’s website, “All speakers (including Bluetooth, portable, and wireless types) and radios are prohibited and will be held and returned at the end of the cruise.”
The reasoning behind the ban is clear: important announcements made over the ship’s public address system must be heard by all passengers. However, Carnival emphasizes that guests can still enjoy their favorite music, movies, and shows with earphones in public areas.
Why the Ban?
Previously, Bluetooth speakers were allowed onboard but discouraged in shared spaces such as pool decks, lounges, and dining areas. However, on a cruise ship where communal areas are limited, loud music from speakers can easily:
• Drown out important safety or event announcements.
• Disrupt the ambiance of shared spaces.
• Annoy fellow passengers with clashing music preferences or excessive volume.
Passenger Opinions on the Ban
This move comes after increasing frustration among guests about inappropriate speaker use. The topic gained traction last August when Carnival Brand Ambassador John Heald conducted a poll on Facebook, asking followers whether Bluetooth speakers should be banned. Over 20,000 people responded, with 88% agreeing they should be prohibited.
Heald shared his personal stance, stating, “My personal opinion…is that we should not allow Bluetooth speakers onboard at any time.”
Many passengers echoed his sentiments. One guest described an experience where someone’s speaker was blasting so loudly on the pool deck that even their own group had to shout over the noise.
Are There Any Exceptions?
Not everyone supports the outright ban. Some travelers argue that Bluetooth speakers should be allowed if used respectfully. For instance:
• Inside staterooms: At a low volume that doesn’t disturb neighbors.
• Off the ship: During excursions or private activities.
As Carnival implements this change, it reinforces the importance of balancing personal enjoyment with respect for the shared cruising experience.
What Should You Pack Instead?
For your next Carnival cruise, consider leaving the speaker at home and opting for a good pair of headphones or earbuds. They’ll keep you entertained without disturbing others—and ensure you comply with the updated rules.

]]>Carnival Cruise Line recently marked two decades of sailing from Baltimore with a heartfelt celebration aboard the Carnival Pride, paying tribute to local first responders. The event honored those who played a critical role in responding to the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse, reflecting Carnival’s strong connection to the community.
Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line, hosted the occasion, welcoming notable guests including Maryland Lt. Gov. Aruna Miller, Transportation Secretary Paul Wiedefeld, Baltimore Deputy Mayor J.D. Merrill, and Maryland Port Administration Executive Director Jonathan Daniels, alongside representatives from the U.S. Naval Academy.
During her remarks, Duffy expressed her appreciation for the local partnership, highlighting the heroic efforts of Maryland Transportation Authority Police first responders.
“As America’s cruise line, Carnival was proud to launch the first year-round cruise program from Baltimore with Carnival Pride. It’s only fitting that we celebrate 20 years of service in this great American city by honoring those who save lives and by recognizing the pride we take in offering unforgettable vacations from Baltimore,” Duffy said.
Carnival also announced a $25,000 donation to the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation to support its Energy Security and Infrastructure Resilience program. Recently refurbished in 2023, the Carnival Pride continues to sail exciting itineraries from Baltimore to the Caribbean, Bahamas, Bermuda, and beyond, including Carnival’s new private destination, Celebration Key, launching in 2025.
